To sit in a dark, air-conditioned hotel room watching foreign TV channels is not what you expected from your vacation. You want to have a piece of the action, you want to meet people, you want to see the country and you want to experience nature. The thought of trekking through deep green jungle, alongside crystal clear rivers, sometimes overcoming rapids and climbing waterfalls, makes your heart beat faster in expectation. You are looking forward to rappel a series of waterfalls, some overhanging and as high as 30 meters. Or maybe mountain biking, horseback riding or volcano trekking is what you long for. River Climbing
Make your way up the lush Matutinao Valley, visiting numerous small waterfalls, and swim through freshwater pools. You'll see unique rock formations and vegetation lush and varied. Canyoning
Cebu and its limestone mountains provide an ideal place for spectacular canyoning in crystal clear tropical rivers. Though difficult to access in densely forested mountain valleys, these places offer nature in its purest form. Several tours are offered, one is more basic and one more for adventurers seeking an adrenaline rush. Jumps from heights up to 8 meters and several waterfalls higher than 30 meters are challenge even experienced canyoneers.
Trekking
We specialize in trekking tours around South Cebu and South Negros Island. The peaks at Negros rise up to 2500 meter above sea level and challenge even people with very good condition. However the tops we visit in Cebu are just up to 1000 meter high and are easily mastered in a one day trekking tour. We'll make our way through the South Cebu high hills crossing a rugged range dividing Cebu Island into East and West. Well visit Osmena Peak, the highest point on the Island of Cebu. We'll trek through valleys and jungles and experience nature and breathtaking views. Meet friendly locals and experience a mountain market place where local produce is sold. This is the real Cebu.
Vulcano climbing
Explore an active volcano, Mt. Canlaon on Negros Island. This active volcano, at almost 2600 meters high, is one of the 5 highest mountains in the Philippines. Its new crater is a breathtaking 400 m deep and less than 100 m wide. The trail to the top is steep, and we'll trek through different vegetation zones from rich agriculture land to thick rain forest until reaching the lunar-like landscape surrounding the crater. Taking two days to explore this mountain, we'll spend the night at our camp on the crater saddle. From there view the whole Visaya region with the clouds just a stone's throw away.
Caving
There are abundant cave systems on Cebu Island, many of them yet to be explored. The Planet Action Adventure Team brings you to four of these cave systems for your exploring pleasure. On all our tours we provide the necessary knowledge and all equipment like lights, harness and helmet etc, eveything you need for safe caving.
